About the Role & What You’ll Be Doing

As the Director of Product at Alaffia, you will pioneer the development and adoption of disruptive healthcare SaaS solutions using the latest Generative AI technologies. You will leverage LLMs to develop AI Co-Pilots and AI Agents to automate insurance claims processing. As the leader of our Product at Alaffia, you will be a catalyst in shaping a future where advanced AIs eliminate $500B in wasted spending. This is a hands-on role and you will serve as an individual contributor. You will report directly to our CEO.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the innovation and development of AI-driven products, focusing on LLMs, to automate complex tasks in healthcare payments and claims operations.
• Conduct market research, customer calls, and user interviews to identify industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer success needs.
• Collaborate directly with our Software and AI Engineering teams, along with our Claims Operations team, to develop and deliver disruptive GenAI products for our customers.
• Define, execute, and maintain product roadmaps that align with the company’s vision, leveraging AI to drive significant value in healthcare payments and claims operations.
• Oversee the lifecycle of AI product initiatives, from concept and design to development and market launch, ensuring they meet the needs of the industry and maintain a competitive edge.
• Cultivate an environment of continuous learning and adaptation, keeping abreast of the latest developments in AI and healthcare technology to guide product strategy and innovation.

Requirements for the Role

• 7+ years of experience in product management, with a strong focus on AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related fields.
• Demonstrated success in leading the development and launch of healthcare SaaS products, particularly involving big data and analytics.
• Deep understanding of the AI landscape, including trends, challenges, and opportunities in applying AI to healthcare.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities for AI to create value in the healthcare claims ecosystem and beyond.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a track record of building and guiding high-performing engineering teams in fast-paced environments.
• Nice to Haves
  • Prior experience working at a health plan or selling products to health plans
  • Prior professional experience working in engineering or data science
  • Advanced degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Machine Learning).
