About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced VP of Engineering to lead our Software and AI Engineering teams and design and implement AI SaaS products that best serve our customers. We’re looking for an experienced manager who has a strong technical background dealing with database schemas, performance engineering, system architecture, and nascent AI technologies. As the VP of Engineering, you will be responsible for the continued development and performance of our AI platform. You will report directly to our CEO.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Software and AI Engineering teams to ensure optimal synergies, communication, best practices, and an overall positive culture and work environment
• Ensure the success of new software releases through continuous improvement of testing suites, our code review process, and our observability platform
• Ensure the security of our data, APIs, and services by maintaining best security practices in specifications and implementations
• Create and review technical documentation
• Lead the certification process surrounding SOC 2, HITRUST, and HIPAA compliance
• Work directly with the Product and Operations teams to ensure that their development requirements are definitively and accurately scoped and executed upon
• Ensure optimal resource assignments on a daily and weekly basis to maximize the productivity and output of the engineering team
• Collaborate with the Executive Team to effectively communicate company-wide goals, strategies, and initiatives to the engineering organization
• Provide effective performance feedback and continuous mentoring, training, and support to the Engineering team
• Source new candidates and manage the recruitment process for new hires

Requirements for the Role

• 10+ years of experience working as an Individual Contributor to develop and scale enterprise-level SaaS solutions
• 7+ years of experience working with modern technology stacks, microservice architectures, and AI / Machine Learning technologies
• 3+ years managing Development and DevOps teams
• Proven expertise working with AWS, Kubernetes, Postgres, Typescript, Node, and React
• Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams to ensure the optimal and timely development and delivery of products to customers
• Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with the Executive team, fellow team members, and customers
• Plus: Prior experience working in the healthcare industry
